Lucgone sir, ZFS is very good bro, I use on my GreenCloudVPS box. Made VPS last month, thank you very much sir for recommendation in other thread.

Single Core: 1456
Multi Core: 54231
Memory: 256 GB

Price is cheap for this performance, sir.

Izmir ZFS mirror on a VPS. Interesting choice.

For that money you get better redundancy with RAID-10 on dedicated hardware. I picked up an auction server from OVHcloud last month:

  • 2x Xeon E5-2680 v4
  • 256 GB DDR4 ECC
  • 8x 4 TB SAS HDD (RAID-Z2)
  • 2x 960 GB SATA SSD (L2ARC)

Ran YABS for laughs. HDDs are HDDs.

CPU: Intel Xeon E5-2680 v4
Single Core: 945
Multi Core: 22680
RAM: 256 GB DDR4 ECC
Disk: 8x 4 TB SAS (RAID-Z2)
  Seq Read: 580 MB/s
  Seq Write: 490 MB/s
Network: 1 Gbps
  Amsterdam: 11 ms / 940 Mbps
  London: 18 ms / 920 Mbps
Geekbench 6: 892 SC / 21340 MC

Sequential matters less when you are storing 20 TB of cold data. Random 4K is where ZFS shines with L2ARC.

zfs send | zfs receive. repeat.

¡steveipw you are very crazy with so many disk! Jajaja

I write long paragraph about my KnownHost box in Amsterdam but no, is very bad, I delete, I repost shorter

¡is very true! But my bittle box from KnownHost https://www.knownhost.com, is very cheap, is very good for seeding

CPU: Ampere Altra Q80-30
Single Core: 1287
Multi Core: 82450
RAM: 128 GB DDR4
Disk: 2x 3.84 TB NVMe
  Seq Read: 4500 MB/s
  Seq Write: 3800 MB/s
Network: 25 Gbps
  Paris: 8 ms / 10.2 Gbps
  Frankfurt: 12 ms / 9.8 Gbps
Geekbench 6: 1987 SC / 82440 MC

¡is very many cores for torrent! Jajaja

Pablowild your Ampere altraprocessorperformance is actually impressive but actually I must ask actually whether the Powersupply actually delivers actually stablecurrent because actually my experience with KnownHost actually was actually different actually.

I have made test on HostHatch in Amsterdam actually with their AMDEPYC9004Seriesprocessor actually and the Virtualizationlayer actually caused actually performancevariations actually that actually made me actually switch actually to CloudCone actually.

CPU: AMD EPYC 9654
Single Core: 1876
Multi Core: 125430
RAM: 512 GB DDR5 ECC
Disk: 3.2 TB NVMe Gen4
  Seq Read: 6800 MB/s
  Seq Write: 5900 MB/s
Network: 100 Gbps
  Berlin: 3 ms / 45 Gbps
  Munich: 5 ms / 42 Gbps
Geekbench 6: 2456 SC / 125400 MC

Actually the price is actually high but actually for Enterprisevirtualizationworkloads actually it is actually justified actually.

Seq Read: 5200 MB/s
Seq Write: 4800 MB/s
Network: 10 Gbps
Jakarta: 12 ms / 8.9 Gbps
Tokyo: 65 ms / 6.2 Gbps
Sydney: 95 ms / 5.8 Gbps
Geekbench 6: 2103 SC / 34200 MC
