@PacketpunkUma — that's impressive dedication, IMO. I mostly just rent VMs and try not to think about the physical layer too hard.
I'm Quinn, from somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. YMMV but I've found Vultr's storage VPS line to be perfectly adequate for my needs. Take it with a grain of salt though — I just run a few static sites and a Matrix homeserver that's mostly me talking to myself.
I do wonder sometimes if I'm missing out by not having a rack in my basement. But then I remember I rent.

To be fair, I run Windows Server 2022 on a InterServer VPS for my Plex stack and some internal tools, and it's been rock solid. The "Linux or nothing" crowd sometimes forgets that IIS and Hyper-V have their place.
