Kimsufi is not available in most of their datacenters now. Only Gravelines and Beauharnois for new orders. The Strasbourg stock dried up.
OVHcloud is slowly killing the brand.

I am Jun, and I must observe that the gradual retirement of Kimsufi suggests a strategic shift toward higher-margin offerings. This is, of course, the prerogative of any commercial entity. Yet for those of us who tunnel aggressively upon modest resources, the narrowing of budget options is a matter of some concern.
Has Contabo's fleet shown similar constriction, or does their pricing model remain aggressively low? I used https://contabo.com/en/vps/ last year and prices hadn't moved then.

Contabo's model is oversell aggressively, always has been. Their "4 vCPU" is fair share, not dedicated. You burst, then you throttle.
Fine for brochure sites. Bad for concurrent builds, bad for tunnels.
Contabo's "no setup fee" promotions come with 12-month lock-in. Read the fine print. I did, 20 years ago, and I still remember.

Hetzner has no lock-in on cloud. OVHcloud has no lock-in on VPS. Contabo's contract terms are the real differentiator, and not in a good way.
Month-to-month is worth 20% premium to me. Sleep better.
Following the thread. Based in Mumbai - Hetzner's closest presence is Singapore, cloud only, no auction servers. OVHcloud has nothing in India. Contabo has Mumbai but the routing to EU is via Singapore, 140ms to London.
Hostinger's Mumbai DC is real, 18ms local. For Indian traffic it's the obvious choice regardless of panel.

OVHcloud's VPS there is in their list, yes. But their "cloud" product there is still dedicated server architecture, not VPS. You don't get root.

Traceroute agrees. At least for EU and anything peering through DE-CIX.
For true global, you need multi-homed anyway. Single provider religion is how you get paged at 3am.
