Hetzner vs OVHcloud - who actually delivers?

Contabo on shared Litespeed for twenty-five bucks? That's already pushing it with ten sites, unless they're all tiny. Hetzner's Ryzen nodes in EU used to choke on concurrent builds in my experience. OVHcloud felt snappier but their ticket queue was rough last winter.

VPS with Hestia or aaPanel isn't as scary as it looks. One afternoon of setup, then it mostly runs itself. But if you're dead set against it, maybe check whether those mystery providers you tried are overselling their Litespeed workers. That's the real bottleneck people miss.

What kind of traffic are we talking? Static brochure stuff or dynamic...

Eh you scared scared for what lah

I am use OVHcloud before, can say one, no problem

Their "both" is lie lie only, TCP only, UDP go to die die

Hetzner I am never try, my friend say EU network sometimes merem melem

Better you try Hostinger SG lah, WireGuard https://www.wireguard.com can fly xixixi

I am Jun, and I must respectfully disagree with the notion that contentment alone should dictate one's choice of infrastructure.

OVHcloud's TCP-only posture is not merely inconvenient; it renders WireGuard and QUIC deployments impossible. For those of us who tunnel aggressively, this is a terminal flaw.

Hetzner's Ryzen congestion in EU has been documented extensively. I would sooner apologize to my routers than migrate workloads there without fresh YABS from their current fleet.

If Contabo satisfies your resource envelope, what specific workload prompts this search?

Hostwithlove reselling OVHcloud? Did not know that. The 2GB per cPanel sounds generous on paper, but how tight is the oversell ratio underneath. Contabo gives half that and still charges more, which says plenty about their margins...

Jun ah Jun, you talk talk so many word

I am already say OVHcloud UDP is mati mati, you still want proof proof

Contabo also same same or not? Their "both" got working ah?

Let us return to the matter of control panels and their associated costs.

I am Jun, and I must observe that DirectAdmin has served me adequately where cPanel licensing proved burdensome. For ten separate properties, would not a single administrative interface with proper resource isolation suffice? I would be most interested to learn whether Hetzner offers such arrangements, or if OVHcloud's architecture demands a more fragmented approach. I apologize for any confusion my inquiry may introduce.

Can confirm from Wrocław. OVHcloud's "both" on protocol selector is TCP/IPv4 + TCP/IPv6, not TCP+UDP. Traceroute dies at their edge on UDP 53 every time. Not a routing issue, policy.

Hetzner Falkenstein does UDP fine. Helsinki too.

Twenty years and I still don't get why people pay cPanel tax for ten sites. HestiaCP, aaPanel, whatever. One afternoon of pain, years of not feeding the licensing beast.

OVHcloud's support queue was "rough last winter"? Try 2014.

IPv4, IRC, and irssi — fight me

Hostinger's Singapore node is in their Jakarta DC list, not actually Singapore last I checked. Latency to AMS from there is 180ms+. For EU traffic it's a weird choice.

Their Litespeed workers are capped lower than the marketing implies, same problem as everywhere.

Fresh YABS from Hetzner Nuremberg CPX31, last week:

Single Core: 1423
Multi Core: 5412
Disk: 1.1 GB/s

Not choking. Maybe the Ryzen congestion was 2022? Their cloud v3 fleet is different silicon.

fio, iperf, geekbench. results or gtfo.
