Hetzner has no lock-in on cloud. OVHcloud has no lock-in on VPS. Contabo's contract terms are the real differentiator, and not in a good way.

Month-to-month is worth 20% premium to me. Sleep better.

Estonia has decent fiber but I host nothing local. Hetzner Nuremberg ping is 35ms, good enough. I run a few static sites on their €4 plan, mostly project documentation. No revenue, so I cannot compare to Rangga's scale, but uptime has been perfect for 18 months.

I did the same audit in Tallinn. Found my Unraid box with 4 spinners was pulling 90W at idle. Replaced two older WD Reds with a single larger Exos, spun down the parity overnight. Down to 55W now.
