Which provider? If it's OVHcloud that makes sense, their APAC routing is known issue. If it's someone else, name them so we know.

@minh1987 it was OVHcloud yes. Should have mentioned. Their price looked good but routing ruined it.

Confirmed in my data too. OVHcloud SG to JP is consistently 8-10ms worse than Vultr SG for same NTT path. Something in their internal network adds latency. Not just you.

1ms or I don't want it

Following this. My use case is similar but AU clients, so SG latency to Sydney matters more. Vultr SG to Sydney is ~95ms for me, acceptable but not great. Different thread I guess.

Vultr Atlanta to Tokyo is 145ms, not relevant to this thread but I tested it anyway. Their network is solid everywhere I've tried.

Spun up Vultr SG 1GB this morning. YABS disk 1420 MB/s, network 820 Mbit up/down. Geekbench 6 single 2080. Hankels numbers match almost exactly. Route to my Osaka client is 64ms via NTT, clean. Very satisfied so far.

Anyone tried Hetzner SG with a public IP? Their 1GB with IP is €4.51, so barely over $5. NAT is €3.50 but I need inbound. Curious about routing quality.
