Black Friday 2025 HAUL THREAD

Ok so I actually tracked everything this year, spreadsheet and all

SNAPPED UP:

  • Contabo 1GB KVM yearly: €4/MO ARE YOU KIDDING (was €22 last BF)
  • OVHcloud NAT 512MB: €4/mo with extra IPv6
  • Hetzner 2GB Ryzen: €4/mo but had to fight the cart for 20min

Also grabbed a.xyz from Hostinger for $0.99

€4/mo for 1gb is insane

I got the Contabo 512mb for €4/mo and a RackNerd 1gb for $9/yr

A lot of ppl sleeping on RackNerd im definitely gonna grab 2 more before cyber monday

My haul:

  • Vultr 2GB: $15/yr = $7.50/GB/yr
  • InterServer 4GB dedi: $45/yr but only 1TB disk so $0.044/GB storage
  • GreenCloudVPS 1GB NAT: $2/mo

The math on that InterServer box is weird though. 4GB RAM, old Xeon E3-1230v2, disk hits 450MB/s. Not great not terrible

Also grabbed another KnownHost 512MB for $3.50/mo because at this point why not

InterServer, good on you for posting here! Sent ticket yesterday for test order, was impressed by network actually.

My haul is boring, I made test order on our own infrastructure lol. But I did grab:

  • Hostinger 1GB for $11/yr (their network to Spain is surprisingly decent!)
  • RackNerd 2GB yearly, $16/yr

Tired of stripe asking for my firstborn

Grabbed OVHcloud with BTC but their XMR checkout was "temporarily down" lol

Also got a Contabo box with LTC. €5/mo after conversion fees

Privacy coins getting harder to use, even on lowend hosts 🪙

Is a 3 year plan from Hetzner worth it? They have €45/3yr for 2GB and im tempted but thats alot of money for me.

I only need it for a minecraft server for me and my friends

Back when I started, "three year plan" meant you were renting colo space and signing actual contracts with lawyers present. Kids these days throw forty-five dollars at a Stripe page and call it an investment.

I bought nothing. Mark my words, half these annual deals won't honor renewal at the same price. The race to the bottom always ends with the floor giving out.
