GRABBED THAT last year, GreenCloudVPS ARM 4GB $12/YR ARE YOU KIDDING but yeah docker images missing missing. Had to build from source like a caveman.
Why do ARM VPS still feel experimental in 2024?
Arm build from source oof
HostHatch Tokyo has ARM with better image support. Their Tokyo mirror carries most multiarch builds. I run production monitoring there without issues.
The experimental feeling stems from registry maintainers. Not the architecture itself. X86_64 remains the default compile target. This is a tooling problem. Not a silicon problem. -- Marcus
I use RackNerd arm in hanoi, very stable thank you sir. Buildx handles most images. Their IPv6 only though, need legacy IP tunnel for some repos thank you sir.
Yikes noob, just use host with real boxes. Gg.
2001:0db8:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0001 sees no issue. Legacy IP dependency is the problem. Dual-stack is compromise, NAT is betrayal. Address space abundance means no excuse for missing builds. My Ampere Altra production cluster at 0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0002 through 0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0100 runs zero issues. The architecture is not experimental. the mindset is.
Had to build from source too, docker hub x86 only half the time
HostHatch (really?) (production monitoring?) (on ARM VPS?) (no issues at all?)
0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0002 through 0100. Sure.
