@tinaworm Samsung PM883 is SATA. For that money you get used Intel P4510 NVMe off eBay with 3 DWPD and actual IOPS. HostHatch is fine if you hate yourself. My underrated pick: InterServer. They auction decommissioned HPE DL360 Gen10 from some german datacenter. I got 2x Xeon Gold 6134, 192GB RAM, 8x 1.92TB Samsung PM983 U.2 NVMe, hardware RAID with 2GB cache. 45/month. For that money you get a dedicated server with actual drive caddies you can swap. ZFS mirror on the NVMe, RAID10 on spinners I added later. Sure, power draw is 180W idle. Sure, the iLO certificate expired in 2019. But the IOPS are real and nobody talks about them because "cloud" sounds cooler than a screaming 1U in some Frankfurt basement.
