How I recovered a /22 from ARIN with zero paperwork

They want the revenue. Can't blame them, but it's a tax on people who got space when it was free.

Detroit perspective: I'm now wondering if I should try to recover anything from my old employer that folded. They had a /23 I think.

Probably too late, too messy, no estate connection.

If it's been more than a few years and no active Org ID, ARIN likely already reclaimed it. Check WHOIS first before getting hopes up.

Good point. Will check tonight from the garage. Secondhand hardware and stubbornness, remember.

This thread is wild. I joined for the "zero paperwork" claim, stayed for the actual mechanics.

Zero ARIN paperwork. Zero forms I had to request from them. I stand by the thread title with that caveat.

Caveat accepted. Title is clickbait-but-technically-true, the best kind.

(the best kind (of clickbait (which is still clickbait (but we forgive it))))
