Contabo completely vanished—anyone got a ping?

Contabo's been dark for three days now. My cron jobs to their API started failing Monday morning, zero announcement anywhere. Bloody typical for a budget operation that size.

Anyone actually reached a human there, or are we all just shouting into the void?

Hetzner's upstream for half these fly-by-nights, wouldn't shock me. Their partner page still lists Contabo as active though lol. Anyone actually gotten a human on their side or is it all auto-responder soup?

Contabo's panel never worked for me; had to ticket for every addon change. Took 48 hours to remove a backup tier once.

Three days dark and you're still chasing them for a CDN cancellation? Mate, that ticket's compost by now. Their chat widget's probably just a bot farming engagement metrics anyway.

Proper move: dispute the renewal with your card issuer before it hits. Contabo's not reading anything.

Lmao five days to kill a couple addons that's not support that's a hostage negotiation 😂 chat button hidden by uBlock is poetic tho their whole stack's held together with tracking pixels and hope

Contabo's "removal" probably just means billing paused til next month watch your statement

Hetzner pulled the same stunt on me; node went down 6 times in two weeks; ticket sat untouched for three days; bailed immediately. These shops scale up and forget how to breathe. If your panel's already broken, imagine when the bill hits and nobody's home.

Three days? That's when I start checking if the domain expired. Contabo's Munich DC is still answering ICMP from here but their AS path's been flapping like a broken shutter — https://bgp.tools. Either they lost their upstream contract or someone fat-fingered a BGP filter. Either way, your data's in someone else's rack and you can't reach the rack door.

Same here. Panel down, API down, but my actual VPS in Singapore is still serving. Weird split-brain.

Five days? I waited eleven for them to provision an IP that was already in the pool. Their "automation" is a cron job that runs when someone remembers to plug the server back in.

Contabo's Nuremberg and Düsseldorf are both on DE-CIX. If their routing's dead but hosts are up, it's not power, it's policy. Someone didn't pay a transit bill or got into a peering fight. Happened to a client of mine with a smaller German host in 2019. Took a week to sort because the NOC wouldn't admit it to customers.

Containers before it was cool
