Called it. Got billed this morning for a "removed" backup tier from July. Ticket still open. These shops don't have billing reconciliation, they have billing prayer.

Hetzner pulled the same stunt on me; node went down 6 times in two weeks; ticket sat untouched for three days; bailed immediately. These shops scale up and forget how to breathe. If your panel's already broken, imagine when the bill hits and nobody's home.

Dispute with your card issuer, not their dead inbox. Chargeback window is your only real leverage now.

For the future: anycast over two providers. One goes dark, traffic shifts. Costs more than a single cheap box but you stay reachable.
