Overselling power is the real game. Provider quotes you 0.5A at 120V, you draw 0.8A sustained, they don't notice until three of you do it on the same breaker. Ask me how I know.

Chen: I have one dedi at Leaseweb Singapore, 180W typical. Power included in the 89 EUR but I know I am paying for it somewhere. Their Singapore facility is very solid, no complaints on network.
Fritz48: Leaseweb's power-capped pricing is a discount for telemetry, not a surcharge for privacy. I read the contract carefully. The base rate includes reasonable power, the cap is for heavy users who want the monitoring. My choice to go blind cost me nothing, they simply removed the discount tier.

Guru32: 110W idle is fine for a Xeon with 256GB RAM and four NVMe. Context matters. My Ryzen 5950X idles at 85W with 128GB, is that also "not efficient" to you?

Tamuma: HostHatch power included is why I colo there. At home in the EU I was paying more for electricity than the server was worth. The SBC cluster lives in Hong Kong, latency to my users in the region is acceptable.

Amsterdam power is expensive now, around 0.35 EUR/kWh for commercial. I moved two clients from Leaseweb dedicated to their cloud instances purely on power math. The cloud is someone else's heater.
Adam20: Abuse reports don't care about your wattage. But I will note that the "efficient ARM home lab" crowd generates a surprising volume of DMCA notices relative to their compute. Correlation, not causation.
