Poll: how many prefixes do you announce? Be honest.

I announce 3 prefixes for my association. One /24 v4 and two /48 v6. We are small, we do not need more. I do not understand why someone needs 200. This seems like a problem for the RIPE database, no?

Ours is ticketed for Q2.

I backup my configs. I do not backup my routing decisions apparently.

7 prefixes here. 3 are old /24s I should return but I keep thinking "what if I need them." I never need them.

Cocked up a merger

I understood BGP once in 2019. Now I just copy-paste from the old wiki and pray. 2 prefixes, both aggregates, both probably wrong in some way I cannot see.

Following. Currently at 9, want to see if I should feel bad.

Hostinger announces 8 prefixes

I run game servers mate. I have 1 prefix. My players do not care about your routing table, they care about ping.

Zero v4 prefixes announced

How? You have no legacy customers at all? I am trying to go v6-only for internal but my upstream still wants v4 for the handoff.

How?

Tunnel broker for the one customer who still needs v4. Hurricane Electric, free. They get NAT64 for everything else. Complaints are rare now, was worse in 2022.

11 prefixes. 4 are for anycast DNS nodes across Europe. Could aggregate better but the latency targets are different and my provider suggested splitting. Not sure I believe them but here we are.

I announce 5. Compiled my own bird config from scratch, no templates. The prefixes are clean, the config is art, nobody appreciates either.

Gentoo on the router because of course.

Tell them to fix their SPF instead

I did tell them. They did not listen. Money talks, SPF walks apparently.
