Kindly I am requesting your participation in this informal survey. In my network, we announce 4 prefixes only, all aggregates. I am curious to understand whether this is typical or atypical in the community itself.
Please be honest in your response. There is no judgment here, only data collection for my own understanding.

Ok so I used to announce like 2 prefixes total then I got this customer who needed his own /24 for "reputation" reasons so I deaggregated for him and now im at 5 Honestly I dont even know if thats good or bad I just do what the control panel tells me to do

Hostinger announces 8 prefixes, 3 of which are because we cocked up a merger in 2022 and never reaggregated. Could do it in an afternoon, just... haven't. Cheers lads
Seen some proper messes out there though. One bloke at a meetup admitted to 200+ because "historical reasons." historical laziness more like.
200+ is wild but I believe it. I worked with a university that had /24s scattered across three RIRs from acquisitions going back to the 90s. They literally could not tell you what some of them were for.

Same here. Two v4, two v6. Clean and boring. I have a colleague who thinks deaggregating for "reputation" is security theater and I tend to agree.
Reputation from what? IP warming? That's a mail problem, not a routing problem. Tell them to fix their SPF instead of polluting the table.
Also: ARM routers exist now. Lower power, same packets. Think about it.

Zero v4 prefixes announced. I have a /48 v6 and that is it. My upstream filters v4 for me. Legacy protocol, legacy problems.
I'm at 6. 4 from my own space, 2 from a customer who absolutely insisted on bringing their own /24 when they colocated. Fine, whatever, it's their money.
This is every reaggregation project ever. "We'll do it during the next maintenance window." Then three years pass.
I have 12 prefixes. 8 are mine, 4 are failover announcements to a second upstream. I document them and I still hate it.

Proper truth. Ours is ticketed for Q2. Has been since Q2 2023.
