Hej, this is common pain. No backup is real until you restore into config on server.
My friend in prague, he lose malý server in fire. Now he have 3 copies. One offline, one on different continent.
No "cloud" save you from yourself. No.

Never tested restore either. Fire changed that.

Not quite. SBG1 survived. SBG2 burned. SBG3 and SBG4 were evacuated. The backups that died were in SBG2, and replicated copies were also in SBG2. Geographic redundancy was the missing piece.
I learned that the hard way. Now my 3-2-1 has one copy on Backblaze B2 (https://www.backblaze.com/cloud-storage), one on a box I physically own in my mum's garage in Leeds.
