Simple question. In my country we say "fire reveals what you actually own."
I stayed with them for 6 months after SBG2, then migrated everything to HostHatch. Cost double. Sleep quality improved.
Who else made the calculation? Who regrets leaving, or regrets staying?

I lost 3 years of client backup and my friend I never tested the restore no never I tought the "cloud" means safe you know very nice price but now I pay triple at Leaseweb and I sleep better my friend!!! The fire teach me everything burns even the "redundant" stuff my friend never again!!!

Hej, this is common pain. No backup is real until you restore into config on server.
My friend in prague, he lose malý server in fire. Now he have 3 copies. One offline, one on different continent.

"redundant" stuff burned, so what was the redundancy exactly?

Never tested restore either. Fire changed that.

My friend the redundancy was same building my friend!!! Same building!!! OVH say "we have backup" but backup is in SBG1 and SBG2 same place same fire!!! This is not redundancy this is copy in same room you know!!!

Not quite. SBG1 survived. SBG2 burned. SBG3 and SBG4 were evacuated. The backups that died were in SBG2, and replicated copies were also in SBG2. Geographic redundancy was the missing piece.
I learned that the hard way. Now my 3-2-1 has one copy on Backblaze B2 (https://www.backblaze.com/cloud-storage), one on a box I physically own in my mum's garage in Leeds.
