Looking for a host that actually updates their status page when things break bro

Had two outages last month. First with RackNerd—zero updates for 6 hours wey, just "all systems operational" while my monitoring (I use https://uptimerobot.com) was screaming. Second with GreenCloudVPS, their status page said "investigating" for 3 days straight then went back to green with no resolution posted.

I dont need 99.999% uptime bro I need honesty when its 95%! What providers actually tell you whats happening?

Docker? Just another layer of opacity bro

You want transparency?? Run bare metal. No container orchestration hiding the actual failure. systemd journal is all the status page you need. Þe big hosts push docker so they can blame "your container" when its their network þats dead

@sarahjey can check status page history on third party site lah some host claim "real-time" but actually static page update manually only

Transparency leh very expensive one lor most budget host rather hide than explain

Already kena before with KnownHost status page green but server down 8 hours

Vultr I used last year, they have this "live incident dashboard" with pretty graphs kkkk but when my server went down I check the graph—my node not even listed there!! They filter out "customer-specific issues" so dashboard always look clean

Double negative: not not a scam wey!!

Leaseweb bills in EUR though. If you're in Canada that's conversion pain every month.

Conversion fees ugh. My bank charges $5 plus 2.5% on top. So a 30 EUR plan becomes like 55 CAD real fast.

Can confirm Leaseweb Singapore also update properly lah. But their cloud pricing start at 50 EUR/month, not exactly student friendly lor
