They do both now, post-fire. Separate infrastructure for status page. Took them years though.
Back to actual budget options. CloudCone is $1.50/month, single datacenter in LA, but their status page history is public and searchable. I have checked incidents back to 2019. They actually write things.

CloudCone's "detailed postmortems" are usually 3 sentences and a graph. Better than nothing but let's not pretend it's SRE blog material.
