Efficiency says: use the VPS for something. Anything. A caching layer, a secondary DNS, a git remote. Zero utilization is the real waste.
This. I run pi-hole on my "unwanted" Hetzner VPS. Whole shop blocks ads now. Cost justified.
Pi-hole is a good idea. I will look at that. Still annoyed I could not just buy the backup though.
