I signed up for a bundle just to get the backup storage
Now I am stuck paying for the VPS part that I do not need
Has anyone found a way to split these bundle offers
Or do I just eat the cost

Actually the TermsOfService from Hetzner state clearly that the Backup storage bundle is actually a single ProductUnit and cannot be separated by the EndUser through any TransferOfRights or SaleOfAccess but actually they do not mention the Gifting procedure at all which is actually a semantic Gap in the Contract language or? I have read the entire Agreement document three times and found no prohibition on Gift transactions between verified Account holders so actually this is the Workaround solution.
Gray market is risky TOS says no transfer but gift is different word check section 4.7 they define transfer as commercial exchange gift is noncommercial by nature loophole or intentional who knows

Gift vs transfer—lawyers love that DISTINCTION. Until they don't.
I have been through this with Hetzner. The bundle is the product. You want storage, you buy the bundle. Their storage box standalone starts at 3.19 EUR for 100 GB if that is enough for you. Cancel the bundle, get the standalone. No gift gymnastics required.

Not new. It is under Storage Box, not Cloud. Separate product line entirely. No VPS attached.
Actually the Storage Box product is actually not eligible for the Backup Bonus credits and actually has slower bandwidth throttling than the bundled Backup storage which is actually the reason people want the bundle in the first place so actually this is not a solution for performance sensitive workloads.
