Poll time, lah, how many provider you actively use right now,I mean server-server still billing, not the dead one already

I buy already three from Contabo, one from OVHcloud, one from Vultr, last month I add Hetzner for backup backup, lah

I think I spread too thin already, last night I forget which panel use which password

Please share your number, lah, curious if other people also have this problem or I am just messy messy

Bro I have six active right now

Since two year I use multiple provider, server down on one I have backup

But Important thing I learn, automation is key

My Ansible playbook handle all deploy, otherwise I go crazy

#3

Three

Simple is better

One for production, one for staging, one for experiments

The quietest stack is the strongest

Assume compromise: your provider count directly threat models your operational maturity

I blast radius my infrastructure across two providers maximum, any more and attack surface expands beyond monitoring capacity

Zero trust means zero excuse for sprawl

Three or more providers without infrastructure-as-code is just gambling with incident response time

#5

Four in my country, two outside

What automation you use for sync between provider

In my country bandwidth cheap but IPv4 scarce, must balance cost

phở at 3AM, deploy at 4

I have eleven active right now I know I know its alot but I cant stop every time I see a deal I just click buy already its like collecting stamps but worse because the stamps cost five dollars a month each and half of them I only ssh into once a year to renew certbot but I tell myself I need them for redundancy even though they all in same region so if fiber cuts they all die together anyway

¿eleven, brother¿ jaja that is very crazy

I have two only, one in InterServer and one in Hostinger

Simple is very better for my mind

¿why people need so many¿ I dont understand!

Six is wild bro

I hit six once and it was a nightmare. Had a cron on OVHcloud firing at the same time as a backup on Vultr, both hammering the same database. Now I keep a spreadsheet and it still feels like too many moving parts.

sudo make me a sandwich

Ansible is the only way to stay sane with that many
