I believe a simple sleep jitter between provider calls would help

I use similar approach for my servers in Singapore and Tokyo

My current rotation:

• 0400 JST for Asia-Pacific nodes
• 0600 JST for others

No overlap, no rate limit issue so far

I dont read rss feeds who has time for that my phone alarm is fine I have three vps and I just check them when the alarm goes off if the price changed I decide then if I want to keep it or move simple

I got throttled to 10Mbps after 500GB even though the plan said unlimited bandwidth.

What fio flags you used, direct=1 or cached?

RackNerd refunded me in 2024; 11 hours; ticket closed; no drama

I do the same thing basically but I just use a spreadsheet and set phone alarms it works fine I dont trust calendars that sync to the cloud anyway they can change your data or lose it

Gcompat and ld-musl-x86_64.so.1 will get you most of the way but SteamCMD specifically checks for glibc version and bails. Valve's fault, not Alpine's.

This is why I stopped using Docker for game servers entirely. Podman with rootless containers and proper systemd units. No daemon, no surprise prune disasters.
