Flat transit is fine until you need more than 500K pps. OVHcloud's DDoS mitigation eats small flows for breakfast though, I'll give them that. Still think you're leaving money on the table without a 12mo commit on the upstream, but your prefix count, your call.

I went the other direction. Sold my rack, went to a single monthly VPS at Sakura Internet here in Kyoto. 2 cores, 4GB, enough for WireGuard and a few static sites. The X10DRL-I generation was overkill for most of us. Carl's X12SDV is already more than I want to own.
