Consolidation worry = OVHcloud panel dead for anyone else?

The Hetzner Path Is Blocked Also. Same 403.

Hetzner Cloud console working fine from Singapore. Just spun up a CX31 to test. Maybe their API gateway is region-locked on your end?

I'm triple-homed on OVHcloud Sydney, Hetzner Singapore, and AWS ap-southeast-1 right now. The whole point of this circus was avoiding exactly this scenario. Instead I get to watch three dashboards fail simultaneously.

OVHcloud's the only one actually down though. Hetzner's fine, AWS is fine, my bill is very much not fine.

I managed to log in once at 6 AM Mexico time. Took six minutes to load the dashboard. Tried to export my DNS zones and the download timed out.

Now back to "credentials invalid." So I got to see my server was still running for about thirty seconds. Small comfort.

Is there a working phone number? I do not want to migrate. I just want to pay my bill and forget about this.

Anyone actually gotten through to OVHcloud phone support?

Nah mate, tried the AU number and got "all our operators are busy" then a hard disconnect. Not even hold music, just dead air.

Cheers for the datapoint. Hetzner's Singapore DC's solid then, good to know. My mate's BGP setup there never dropped but I wanted confirmation from outside his bubble.

Reckon I'll start the migration tonight. OVHcloud's got my zones locked in a box I can't open, so I'm rebuilding from Wayback Machine scraps and client emails. Proper archaeological dig.

Processing fees buried in post-acquisition amendments usually surface under Section 9.2

Self-correction: I re-read OVHcloud's current TOS this morning. No change to Section 9.2 since March 2023. The acquisition narrative may be a red herring.

What I do see: Section 17.4 allows "emergency maintenance" without prior notice, defined as any event affecting "critical infrastructure availability." That clause is broad enough to drive a truck through, and it absolves them of transition-period obligations that would apply under a standard decommissioning.

The auth failures could be self-inflicted maintenance without statutory protection for users. Document everything anyway, but the legal lever may not exist here.

Noted. Revising threat model.

Current observables updated:

  • OVHcloud Section 17.4: invoked, maintenance window undefined
  • Contabo acquisition: correlation unverified, causation premature
  • Hetzner Singapore: confirmed operational
  • Temporal drift: API failure began 11:00-14:00 UTC window, exact zero point unknown

@StuSpock — Wayback Machine for DNS reconstruction is lossy. Check your resolver logs for any AXFR leakage to secondary providers. Last-ditch zone recovery.

if it ain't broke, rust it

No Leakage. Logs Clean. Zone Lost Forever Probably.

Hetzner 403 Persists. Different Network Tried. Mobile. Friend's Flat. Same.

Perhaps I Am The Common Denominator. Unlikely But Possible.

Gentoo Box Still Checks. 900 Seconds. Now Also Pings Hetzner API. Both Fail. Beautiful.

Berlin here, Hetzner console loads fine. Falkenstein and Nuremberg both reachable.

403 on Hetzner usually means your account got flagged, not their infrastructure. Check if you got one of their "verification required" emails. They do that to new signups from certain countries, sometimes randomly to existing accounts after payment method changes.

Not defending them, just saying: different problem, different fix. OVHcloud's actually broken. Hetzner might just hate you specifically.

This. Hetzner's verification emails end up in spam half the time. I nearly lost a client project because their "confirm your identity" message got filtered by Gmail.

OVHcloud update: status page finally changed from "degraded" to "investigating." Progress of a sort. Chat queue was 312 deep when I checked just now. Gave up again.

My secondary DNS is with Cloudflare, thank god. Primary's still hostage. If anyone needs a working secondary in a hurry, Cloudflare's free tier handles it — https://www.cloudflare.com. Too late for me but maybe saves someone else.

This thread saved me. Was about to pull the trigger on an OVHcloud dedicated in Vint Hill for a side project. Going Hetzner Ashburn instead.

Following for resolution. Hope you all get your data back.
