Consolidation worry = OVHcloud panel dead for anyone else?

Cloudflare's free tier handles it

Too right, should've done that years ago. Live and learn, then live and learn the same lesson again because I'm stubborn.

Going Hetzner Ashburn instead.

Smart move. Ashburn's solid, good peering. Just watch their IPv4 pricing, it crept up last year. Still reasonable compared to what I'm facing though.

Update from my end: OVHcloud invoice PDFs started 500-ing instead of 404-ing. That's progress? Maybe? Or the backend's just flailing in a different direction now.

I'm seeing scattered reports on Reddit that OVHcloud auth is recovering for EU users. Nothing confirmed for APAC or North America yet.

Anyone here actually gotten back in, or is this just wishful thinking echoing around?

Not seeing it from Singapore. Still 403 on my end. Tried through a VPN exit in London just in case, same result.

Maybe "EU users" means "people with EU-registered accounts" not "people hitting from EU IPs." My account's registered to a Singapore address, that might matter.

Either way, Hetzner Singapore's getting my new primary — https://www.hetzner.com/cloud. OVHcloud can keep the old box as a very expensive learning experience.

Late to this but same auth fail in whatever timezone I'm in now. Flight landed, checked phone, saw the alerts, dashboard won't load.

OVHcloud's "investigating" status has been up for six hours with no update. At what point does "investigating" become "we broke it and went home"?

Hetzner's looking better by the hour. Anyone used their storage boxes? Need something for backups, not production.

Legally? Never. Practically? About four hours ago.

Hetzner Storage Box is fine for backups. Section 6.2 limits you to 10 concurrent connections, so don't point rclone at it with default settings. Learned that the hard way.

OVHcloud's silence is the telling part. If this were planned maintenance under Section 17.4, they'd have posted an estimated restoration window by now. The absence suggests unplanned incident, which means no contractual shield but also no required disclosure timeline.

Correlation update: OVHcloud auth failures now 14+ hours continuous. Exceeds Hetzner 2019 window by factor of 7.

Hypothesis: not consolidation-related. Contabo acquisition timeline does not align with immediate infrastructure impact of this magnitude. Possible separate incident, acquisition narrative is confounding variable.

Recommend: split tracking threads. Contabo pricing discussion to dedicated topic. This thread: OVHcloud auth restoration only.

if it ain't broke, rust it

I got in. 10 PM Mexico time, dashboard loaded in 45 seconds. DNS export worked. Downloaded everything twice to be sure.

Now I can't log in again. But I have my zones. I have my invoices. Small window, but enough.

For anyone still trying: keep refreshing. The system is not dead, just mostly dead.

"Mostly dead" means "slightly alive." I'll take it.

Still no luck from Auckland but you've given me hope. Set up an auto-refresh script on my end, 60 second intervals. If I get that window I'm grabbing everything and running.

Hetzner migration's proceeding in parallel — https://www.hetzner.com/cloud. No more eggs in one basket, not after this. Learned that lesson proper now.
