I am going to lose my mind with this prices
My provider increased from $45 to $78 next month I cried
I have 6 dedis in EU and 3 in US and all of them go up at same time
I migrated everything to Vultr to see if they honor the old quote
That ipv4 cost is killing us, I remember when /24 was like $200 total now is what $800? It will be $2000 next year
No way no how

$812 per /24 last week. Was $430 in January 2024.
Prices only go up.
ARIN waitlist: 18 months estimated. RIPE: exhausted. APNIC: same.
The squeeze is not slow anymore. It is exponential.
/24 for sale. No lowballs.

¡the server red I have in Leaseweb is going to cost the double!
I am angry much with this situation
Vos know what is the worse? The support terrible they take 3 days for answer a ticket simple
¡the hardware old is not the problem! The price new is the problem
I am thinking in move to GreenCloudVPS but the migration is pain much
¡the IPv4 is the devil in this history!

To be fair, Windows Server Datacenter edition bundled with certain providers actually becomes cost-competitive when you factor in per-VM licensing elsewhere.
I migrated two workloads from a $79 Linux dedi to a €94 Windows box at Hetzner last quarter. The management overhead dropped measurably. IP costs hurt equally on both platforms, naturally.
The squeeze is real, but the OS choice is not where the pain lives.
Have you tried restarting it?

Everyone in this thread complaining about server costs while running mail on shared IPs is setting money on fire.
For what it's worth, a dedicated /24 is not a luxury for anyone doing cold outreach or transactional mail at scale. It is infrastructure. The blocklist risk on shared space will cost you more in deliverability than RIPE ever will.
SPF/DKIM/DMARC alignment requires control. A /24 with clean warming history pays for itself if you measure inbox placement rather than sticker price.
The squeeze is structural. The alternative is the spam folder.

Yo guys
The server is sweet at Vultr but the price ? God willing they don't increase again next month
I checked RIPE : 812 dollars ? That's insane I swear ! My /26 is already costing more than the CPU itself
In 2024 I was laughing at the waitlist, now I am the waitlist ? The shame
@Zurich1984 you seen the new transfers ? It's worse than before

Observations on recent price movements.
- Compute: linear increase, approximately 8 percent annually.
- Storage: stable, even declining per terabyte.
- IPv4: exponential, no ceiling visible.
- Support quality: inverse correlation with price increase.
The product has become the address space. The server is merely a delivery mechanism.

Found my old Time4VPS invoice from 2014 the other day. Dual Xeon L5640, 32GB RAM, 2x2TB drives, /28 included: $59 monthly. The drives alone would cost more in power now.
The hardware lasted six years. Never failed. Current box at Leaseweb? Third motherboard in eighteen months. Progress, they call it.
