'24/7 support' with 48-hour email response · Deals & Offers

Same thing happened to me with a "24/7" host

24/7 support and 24/7 response time are different metrics

This distinction is honestly the most useful thing I've read on this forum in months. I wish providers were forced to put mean response times in their headers.

Reading between lines of status pages · Reviews

We have been on both sides of this, so I will share what we have learned.

The language is often legal protection first, communication second. "Incident" has contractual implications that "event" does not. We have moved toward plain language in our own pages, though it took time.

Did you test HostHatch in that batch? Curious where they landed, weekend-wise. Their policy is human reply inside 6 hours but I know how that sounds from a customer.

Poll: What's your notification setup for deal drops? · Deals & Offers

Eleven muted channels is impressive discipline. I am still stuck at four and already tuning them out.

Has anyone here tried hooking a webhook straight into a Matrix room? I have been experimenting with it for internal alerts and the threading is cleaner than Telegram for noisy feeds. Curious if any...

Difference is you also don't disclose whether that booking flow handles fifty concurrent or five thousand. "Works" is not a benchmark. "Works at what load, with what failure modes, under what recovery time" is a benchma...

Looking for hiking trails near data centers · Off Topic

We have found that the industrial corridor east of the river has several converted rail trails with clear sightlines to a few facilities. The cooling tower profiles are visible from roughly two kilometers on the ridge path. We do not name specific clients, but we have walked this route ourselves. Th...
