Why do launch offers always exclude existing customers?

At least they tell you three months ahead

Three months notice for price hike is luxury. My GPU rental in Tokyo changed overnight last month, no email, just higher charge. I noticed because my electricity bill is already criminal and the total broke my alert threshold.

Different industry same behavior.

Tanie serwery to moja pasja, ale nie pasja na bycie głupcem. W OVH też robią "nowy klient" I wszyscy w Polsce wiedzą jak to obejść.

Check all my renewals

Pro tip: set calendar alerts 45 days before every renewal. Most hosts let you cancel within 30 days of auto-renew if you complain enough.

I run a tiny reseller operation and I do the opposite. Loyal customers get grandfathered at old rates, new ones pay more. Seems to work, my churn is basically zero. But I am not trying to impress investors, I am trying to pay rent.

This is the whole thread in one sentence. Public company vs private, growth vs steady. Different math, same customer getting squeezed.
