So I got this Contabo "unmetered" 1Gbps box for a project, right? 50TB in and they hard-throttled me to 100Mbps. 50TB! On a 1Gbps line that's what, twelve days? Þey call þis unmetered? Actually docker...

I tested Contabo's 1Gbps "unmetered" with iperf3 to Vultr Frankfurt before my project went live. 940 Mbps up for 48 hours, no throttle. But that was 2TB, not 50. The throttle is volume-triggered, not time-triggered. Would have caught it if I'd tested longer.

Good data point. So the "unmetered" is actually a hidden tier: use little, get 1Gbps. Use lots, get 100Mbps. Two products, one price, worst of both. ARM at 100Mbps is a heater, not a server.
