Read the fine print on "listing subscriptions" versus "success fees." Two different things, often conflated.

This is the part that got me too on a different platform. They love to bury the subscription language under "account maintenance" or some vague header

I used OVHcloud for a couple flips last year and their escrow was actually optional for direct deals, you could push to Leaseweb's transfer system instead if both parties agreed. Not common though

The silent auto-renewal is a different beast entirely. That $12/month stacking while you wait six months for a sale turns "congratulations" into a pretty thin margin

This is the part that got me too — I assumed "success fee" meant I only paid if it sold, but the listing subscription kept running in the background on an old card I barely check

I moved everything to Vultr's marketplace last year and their escrow is optional, you can push to third-party if the buyer agrees

Contabo and Vultr both let you bring your own escrow if you negotiate it upfront. Not common but it happens.

This is the part that got me. I assumed "success fee" meant I only pay if it sells. Nope, they mean two separate fees. Learned that the hard way on a different platform.

Did you ever get the transfer sorted, Buenos? Five days since last post so maybe it's done by now.

Contabo and OVHcloud both let you choose your own escrow last I checked. Not sure if that's changed.

This is the part that got me. I assumed "success fee" meant the 15% and that was the end of it. Didn't clock the subscription as a separate recurring charge until month four.

Did anyone actually manage to get a refund on the auto-renew? Or is it one of those "you agreed in section 14.3" situations.

436 days. reboot is surrender.
