Got email from RackNerd this morning. My "lifetime" VPS that I paid $18 for in 2023 now renewing at $70/year. Email says "promotional period lifetime has ended, standard rates apply."

I checked my original order confirmation. It says "Lifetime Deal — One Time Payment" nowhere it mentions promotional period. I sent ticket yesterday but no response yet.

Anyone else with RackNerd got same email? I have two more boxes with them and worried now. This was supposed to be my stable infra for small projects.

"Lifetime" defined as lifetime of promotional period in their new Terms page than they updated last week without notice

I am moving my stuff to InterServer now no time for this nonsense

Is this legal? Can they do that? I also bought lifetime deal from them last year and now im scared

RackNerd never took privacy coins anyway so not surprised they pull this

Hetzner takes XMR and has stable pricing from what I seen

Class action would be funny to watch but good luck enforcing against shell company

Just vote with your wallet and use coins they cant chargeback
