Did anyone actually answer the original question or did this just turn into a rust flex thread.

I have three. One at InterServer for personal stuff, two at HostHatch for a side project that barely makes enough to cover the bill. Used to have a fourth at Hetzner but their panel kept timing out during reinstalls and I got tired of opening tickets.

Currently sitting on three: one at Vultr for the main stuff, two at HostHatch for staging and a side project that never quite launched

I used to chase more instances but the tax paperwork got annoying fast, three feels like the sweet spot for actually remembering what runs where

37 days, might as well add another data point.

I have two. One at InterServer for a personal wiki and some light scraping, one at GreenCloudVPS that mostly just runs a few game servers for friends. Both are the cheapest tier because I am cheap.

I just run docker-compose and call it a day. Never had a goroutine leak because I never wrote anything in Go to begin with. Does that count as winning

Anyway the real question is how many of you are actually using all these machines versus just collecting them like digital stamps. I suspect the latter for at least half the numbers in this thread

46 days and nobody asked the obvious — how many of those twelve are actually doing work versus just sitting there "orchestrated"

I run three at Contabo, all actually busy, and I still forget to check one of them for weeks

The standby math always looks impressive until you divide by utilization

56 days and nobody answered my ticket. Hetzner finally replied, said it was "network maintenance" both times. No SLA credit offered. Their status page: https://status.hetzner.com

Still have the four. Moved the lab stuff off Hetzner to InterServer last week. Price is worse but at least the console loads.

I believe it. Some people collect VPS like others collect stamps. Just means different priorities.

Still waiting on that Hetzner ticket from before. Third follow-up sent. Starting to think their "enterprise support" is just one person in a different timezone clicking refresh.

Anyone moved from Hetzner to Hostinger recently? Curious if the migration pain is worth it for actual uptime.

That's rough. I've got three with Hetzner and one with RackNerd, zero outages on my end but they're all in the EU zone. Maybe you're on a different POP they've been having switch issues with?

I'm sitting on five total. Two production, one backup, two that I keep meaning to cancel but the annual billing already happened.
