My tiny site outgrew shared hosting. Good problem?

Sao Paulo If it works don't fix it.

Your cache works now. 1.2 seconds is not broken. But if you want faster, I pay €11 for Hetzner CPX31 and serve 400k uniques with no stress. Sometimes spending a little more is cheaper than spending time optimizing forever.

I enabled Nginx FastCGI cache this afternoon

Make sure you have `fastcgi_cache_use_stale updating` set. I see people miss this and then complain about cache stampede during spikes. Bristol lesson number forty-seven.

Also check if your 1.2 MB includes uncompressed assets. Brotli on Nginx reduces my text by 65%.

works on my bench ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This thread convinced me to check my own Vultr instance. 2 GB RAM, swapping for six months apparently. I just thought it was slow because WordPress. Enabled Redis object cache, dropped to 1.4 GB. Thanks indirectly.
