I cannot disclose internal tooling in a public thread. What I can say is that remote hands requests are ticket-based with photo confirmation. If you have an active contract, the portal access is provisioned during onboarding. This applies to all facilities including St. Louis.

You get cage nuts and your own rails. The other tenant cannot touch your gear unless you authorize a cross-connect. Contabo St. Louis does not do individual cabinet locks on shared racks, but the facility itself has badge access and cameras. If you are paranoid buy a locking faceplate for your chassis or get a half-cabinet instead.

Flat rate up to the circuit breaker yes. I have 2x 20A 208V which is roughly 7.3kW usable after derating. My current draw is under 3kW so there is headroom for a second tenant. The address space is the real constraint, not the power.

This is why I asked about ASN. If you bring your own /48 and your own ASN we can do BGP session to the facility edge and both announce cleanly. Without ASN you are begging for static routes or worse, provider NAT. I have seen this movie before. It ends with traceroute screenshots on Pastebin.

What are you running that only pulls 3kW in 42U? I have a single Supermicro H12 with 128 ARM cores that idles at 180W and peaks under 400W. You could replace whatever legacy x86 you have and free up 4kW for another tenant without even sharing the rack, just denser gear.

Following this thread. I have ASN 65534 and need space in Dallas area but St. Louis is too far east for my latency targets. Does anyone know if Contabo has announced anything in Dallas proper?

No Dallas from Contabo. Their US footprint is St. Louis, New York, Seattle. St. Louis is actually well-connected to Dallas via Level3 and Cogent, I see sub-15ms from my prefix. But if you need Dallas proper OVHcloud has Vint Hill which is Virginia, not Texas, or you look at Equinix DA1/DA2 which is a different budget entirely.

I run Windows Server on purpose and even I know you do not want to share a rack with someone who cannot explain what an ASN is. The number of people in this thread asking basic questions is concerning. Playersofia you should charge a technical interview fee.

Have you tried restarting it?
