That is very high! In Madrid I pay around 280 EUR per kW at small local datacenter. HostHatch does not do colo though, only VPS. But for VPS their prices are good.

In Munich I was quoted 220 EUR per kW last quarter for a half rack. The R640 power draw is why I moved my last workload to Hetzner cloud. No more hardware ownership for me.

To clarify my own earlier point: my Contabo dedicated servers are on old pricing. New customers pay more per unit. I am keeping them because the migration cost in my time is worth more than the savings. But if I were paying $350 per kW like OwnerSeeker, I would have moved already.
In Mexico City the power is cheap but the cooling is what kills you. My small closet setup needs two portable AC units running flat out six months a year. No datacenter nearby so I do what I can.
Has anyone actually priced what Contabo charges for dedicated now? Their website shows from 54 EUR but that is for the small ones.
I checked last week. The dual Xeon Gold configs with 128GB are around 120 EUR now. Used to be less. Still cheap compared to AWS but not the steal it once was.
I resell Contabo and Hetzner mostly. The margin on Contabo is thinner every year. Customers want NVMe and fast support, Contabo delivers price and that is about it. I am moving more to Hetzner for dedicated.
In Quebec we have cheap hydro power so the colo rates are good, around 150 CAD per kW. I run old Dell hardware because the power is not the problem. The problem is finding spare parts for R630/R640 generation.
This is the real hidden cost. One dead motherboard and you are hunting eBay for weeks. Newer gear has warranty and next day parts.
This is why I only buy ARM now. AmpereOne or Altra. The performance per watt is not close. X86 is for legacy only in my opinion.
