On-demand with 180Gbps? You'd be down before the page loads.
This. We tried on-demand with Hetzner last year, activation took four minutes on a 90Gbps burst. Game was dead before mitigation kicked in.
Switched to always-on with Vultr, smaller pipe but zero activation lag. Uma, what's your normal clean traffic look like? If you're pushing most of that $400 just for filtering, might be worth looking at GreenCloudVPS's hybrid tier — always-on for the first 10Gbps then burst billing above. Not sure if they still run that promo.
Also 33 days late, did you end up moving or still shopping?
119 days — perhaps the Mitigation has been found or the Project abandoned

This is the critical Point that Blaze has overlook. For a GameServer the Activation delay of on-demand Services is often 2-5 Minutes, during which the Players are already disconnect and posting negative Reviews
At 180Gbps even Contabo and OVHcloud require pre-staged Routing for sub-minute Response. The $400 Budget is realistic for on-demand but tight for always-on with meaningful Bandwidth — see https://www.ovhcloud.com/en/vps/
Has uma found a working Setup or moved to a different Architecture entirely
282 days and this is still relevant. Twice a year is a very different threat model than what most game hosts see. Once you're on a list, you stay on it. The activation lag for 180Gbps isn't theoretical, I've watched it happen. Contabo and InterServer both had always-on options in that price band last I checked, but their filtering quality varies wildly by PoP. OVHcloud's on-demand used to advertise sub-60s activation, which is the only on-demand I'd even consider for this scale. What region are your players in? That matters more than people think for where the scrubbing center needs to sit.
Did anyone here actually try GreenCloudVPS's on-demand for game traffic? I heard their BGP announcement is manual ticket only, which sounds like a death sentence for that 180Gbps scenario
Also @uma did you ever solve this or rebuild elsewhere? Thread's been quiet a year but curious how it shook out
