1. Bought used Supermicro X10 from some ebay type place
2. Docs say "default IPMI password admin/admin"
3. Not working, seller not responding to messages
4. BMC is locked with custom password
Anyone dealt with this? It's a X10DRi board if that helps. Don't want to brick it but also don't want a paperweight.

Jumper reset is your friend. JPB1 on that board, pins 2-3 for like 10 seconds while powered off. Super stoked when I first learned this.
I messed it up once though left it on 1-2, wondered why nothing changed. Admit my mistake, fixed it fast. You got this.

We typically handle BMC lockouts by documenting the jumper location before any hardware changes. On the X10 series, you'll find JPB1 near the SATA ports.
Power down completely, bridge pins 2-3 for ten seconds, then restore to 1-2. We have seen units require a full AC disconnect rather than just soft power off.

Which X10DRi variant, the -F or -T?
