So I got charged twice by InterServer (or wait was it the payment processor because sometimes they do that hold thing where it looks like a double charge but falls off and I was ready to be SO MAD because last time I had a billing issue with a host it took eleven days and three escalations and the guy kept asking for screenshots I had already sent but ANYWAY) I opened a ticket expecting the usual runaround and this agent named marisol or something like that (I should check the ticket but im on mobile and the paste is weird) she had it fixed in four minutes literally four minutes I timed it because I was shocked and she even added a note about why it happened (something with the cron job on the invoice generator running twice during a maintenance window) and I know everyone here is cynical about positive posts because usually they are astroturfing (and I have accused people of that before sor

Four minutes is plausible if the machine handling tickets has direct billing API access. Most do not. The maintenance window explanation tracks. I have seen cron duplication on poorly maintained machines. I am suspicious by default. However, the specificity of the root cause suggests a real interaction. -- Marcus

Ticket number or it did not happen. Also check your resolver because their status page might be cached. dig +short support.interserver.net A ; propagation on that TXT record they use for verification is probably still rolling. What is the TTL on the receipt email? Kidding. Mostly.

My rack showing 15A on the meter, the wife says it sounds like a jet engine. Good support matters because I have documented 47 power events this year. InterServer is not in my 42U but if they fix billing that fast I might snap them up for monitoring. Close-up of PDU display. 187W idle. Obsessive? The wife thinks so.

Had to grab this one — InterServer had a $12/YR plan last Black Friday ARE YOU KIDDING. I tracked it, price history shows $12 then $18 then $24 now. This support speed is making me regret sleeping on it. Four minutes is SPEEDRUN territory. 🏃

Same thing happened to me with a processor hold, maddening.
