This thread convinced me to check my Contabo renewal. Turns out it was exactly what I signed up for. Boring. I love boring.
Contabo is the king of boring. Their "price goes up after 12 months" is literally in the headline font.
Back to the OP's question - is it bait and switch or just aggressive marketing? Legally probably the latter, morally feels like the former. The CEO's non-apology settles it for me.
