Hi all — Jane @ Contabo here. Not posting officially, just happened to see this while browsing.
Bought a flash-sale dedicated server last night, €29/mo, excellent specs. Except I somehow clicked through the default datacenter (Falkenstein) when I needed Singapore for latency reasons. Realized 20 minutes later. Panic-opened cancellation request, got auto-reply saying "no changes once provisioned."
Has anyone successfully reversed a location mistake? My use case is latency-sensitive, Falkenstein is unusable. Would rather eat the setup fee than pay €29 for a paperweight for 12 months.
Current status:
- Ordered: 23:14 CEST
- Noticed: 23:34 CEST
- Ticket opened: 23:41 CEST
- Response: "per terms, no location changes after order confirmation"
