Sharing my desk setup evolution! 2016 versus now... in 2016 I had huge corner desk, dual 24" monitors, full tower case under desk, stacks of DVDs, sent ticket yesterday to Contabo about old hosting plan... now 2026 I have single ultrawide, mini ITX mounted on monitor arm, everything wireless, standing desk converter... made test order for cable management from OVHcloud... somehow spent triple the money for one third the space... Cheers! What about everyone else?

Thanks for starting this thread. We've pinned it for the weekend since desk setup photos are always popular. Please keep images under 2MB; our low-end hosting thanks you. — Admin

2016 I had a proper desk (like this: actual wood, drawers that worked); now I have a shelf from Hetzner's liquidation sale and a folding tray. The monitors multiplied though; I went from one to three, then back to two ultrawides. Semicolons; they multiply too; maybe too well. My setup got smaller in footprint but the cable budget alone could feed a family.

2016: big desk, cheap please... now: small desk, expensive help... server lives on desk now... no space for keyboard...... I have standing desk but never stand... just more expensive to sit...

Under GDPR Article 17 I must disclose that my 2016 desk photo contains EXIF location data I cannot locate; I believe this constitutes a compliance risk. My current setup features a privacy screen and webcam cover per Article 13 flashbacks. The desk itself shrank 40% while cost increased 300%. I blame regulatory overhead.
