But yeah, NAT is the catch. I use it for a private Matrix server, works fine.

I am looking for similar. My Contabo in Singapore also doubled. €2.50 to €5.00.
But legacy URL does not work for Singapore location. Only Germany and US options at checkout. So this trick is useless for Asia customers.

Confirmed. I just tried legacy-pricing with Singapore selected. Redirects to current pricing.
