Transfer costs add up too. ICANN fee, possible Hetzner lock if you renewed recently. Sometimes the escape costs more than the prison.
I escaped shared hosting and learned this: every dollar you spend on infra you don't use is a dollar against your actual project. Drop it.
Same here. Dropped 4 domains this quarter. Liberating.
What if he uses it for internal tools? VPN landing page, private Git server front? No traffic, no SEO needed, just convenience.

Late to this but: did anyone mention Hetzner's DNS is anycast from Falkenstein and Nuremberg? Fast in Europe, slow from Asia. Not relevant to parked domains but if you develop, know your audience.
Already covered. Domain is parked, zero traffic. Audience is nobody.
Following the thread from start: question asked, answered in turn 2, now we're at turn 26 debating DNS anycast for a ghost domain. Classic forum drift. My vote: let it die before turn 30.
