I must beg your pardon, but this is a most unfortunate situation, and I must apologize for intruding upon your distress. Let us consider that an untested backup is merely a wish upon the wind. I too have suffered such indignity in days past, and I beg your forgiveness for mentioning it.

Super easy lang, diba? Nag-install ako ng separate cheap vps, super mabagal specs pero ok lang for test. You spin up, restore there, check if site run. If super fail, your backup useless. I learn this the hard way, my backup corrupt for 6 month no know

Just use borg to a second box. Skill issue if you don't test. I test monthly, takes 20 min, saves your sanity. CAPS: TEST. YOUR. BACKUPS. Or don't cry when they ghost you.

The hosting provider is dead. But the lesson is still living.
I confess: my last tested restore was last decade. The shame burns. Now I have 3 copies, 2 formats, and 1 quarterly test on cheap node from drift'ost. I am reformed.

2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, 80 GB SSD. 3 EUR/month on their cheapest tier. I run a quarterly restore test then delete the instance. Total cost 12 EUR/year for peace of mind.
