This thread drifted from "sub-$20" to "cheapest sustainable" which is good, because sub-$20 was always fiction.
One more option: Hetzner Storage Share (EUR 3.81) + rclone serve http + Cloudflare in front. Storage Share is Nextcloud, not meant for this, but it works. AUP might object.
I did it for 6 months, 4TB/month, no issues. 12TB probably pushing it.
Has anyone mentioned that 200 concurrent 720p streams is maybe 400-600 Mbps sustained? Hetzner CX21 is 200 Mbps. You need CPX31 or better for that pipe, EUR 14.70 — https://www.hetzner.com/cloud.
So origin alone is over $15, plus CDN. The $55 estimate is low. More like $70-80.
Bandwidth math: 720p H.264 at 2.5 Mbps * 200 = 500 Mbps. Add overhead. You need gigabit port or close.
This is the critical correction I needed. My estimate was per-month total, not peak throughput. You're right, CX21 would choke.
CPX31 at EUR 14.70 + KeyCDN or Bunny. That's the real floor. Sub-$20 was wrong target.

Following for results. One note: Hetzner's CPX31 in Singapore is EUR 17.47, not 14.70. German pricing doesn't apply to SG.
If you need SEA origin, budget more. If EU origin is fine, Falkenstein CPX31 at EUR 14.70 works.
Late to thread but admin already covered: test with iperf3 from your target regions before you commit. I rent Hetzner for EU, Vultr for APAC, sync between. More cost, better peering.
No single provider solves this cheaply. The distributed approach is what works, even if it hurts to pay two bills.
