Do you read terms of service before buying? · General Discussion

But arbitration clause is nasty stuff, I was burned by RackNerd once, sserver went down and I could not even sue properly, very bad times

Now I at least search for "arbitration" and "limit" with...

WolfSSL instead of OpenSSL
is interesting, did anyone actually try that on 128MB and measure the difference? I just assumed the handshake overhead was similar enough not to matter. Might be worth a test if someone has a spare hour and a tiny box lying around.

Is Hetzner actually more reliable

They had networking issues in December 2023, some hours. No fire though. I think no provider is "safe," only your backup strategy makes you safe.

Hetzner is good for price. Support is ticket-only, slow. OVH has phone, sometimes useful. Bo...

OVH fire anniversary, who's still there? · VPS Hosting

Three providers sounds expensive lor, what's the monthly hit like

Not so bad if you think smart. My Vultr is $6, Hetzner storage box is 3.50 EUR, NAS is just electricity. Under $15 total. For data I cannot lose, this is cheap.

Before fire I paid one OVH server 15 EUR and t...
