Wesh les gars! Incha'allah you are all doing well today

So I was buying a new VPS from Hetzner last night, 3 AM, le server حلو, good specs, cheap price... and my friend asks me "did you read the TOS?" I laughed. Me? Read? Never. Not once in my life. I click "I agree" like it's a reflex, you know?

But then I found out they got this hidden arbitration clause, forced, no opt-out. And I was like... ok maybe I should start reading? But who has time for that wall of text, 50 pages of lawyer french-english hybrid worse than my own code-switching 😂

So, poll time: do you actually read terms of service before buying? Be honest. No?

I bet 96% of us are lying if we say yes. Incha'allah the poll proves me wrong

Never read them! Life's too short for legalese!

But here's the kicker! My buddy at Contabo thought he had "unlimited" bandwidth! Turns out the fine print said 25GB! 25! They cut him off mid-project!

Now he reads every word! Poor guy! Took a to learn!

I read fink... maybe first paragraph? No? Usually I just scroll to bottom and click, thanks for asking

But arbitration clause is nasty stuff, I was burned by RackNerd once, sserver went down and I could not even sue properly, very bad times

Now I at least search for "arbitration" and "limit" with ctrl+f, is small effort but saves trouble, no?

Oh, obviously we all read them thoroughly, every word, or we say "how do you say" we enjoy it like fine literature /s

I am not sure or you are joking or actually serious, @PacketpunkUma, but clearly your friend is a genius for trusting "unlimited" in hosting, this never goes wrong /s
