You can get multiple wildcard certs for the same domain from different CAs, or split by zone. But that's just more keys to manage.

Your math is wrong. Vultr block storage is 0.10/GB/month. 500GB is 50. But you don't need block, you need object.

Nextcloud works with S3. Vultr object storage is 5/TB/month. 500GB is 2.50.

Hetzner is not on the list but they are who I use too. Vienna to Nuremberg is 400km, ping 15ms. Why would I pay more for worse?

I tried Contabo once. 4 EUR for 4 cores, sounds good. But the CPU was from 2014. Never again.

Vienna to OVHcloud Gravelines is 22ms. To Hetzner Falkenstein is 18ms. Both fine. I went annual with Hetzner because their VAT handling for Austria is cleaner. OVHcloud invoices are a mess for my accountant. €100 saved is not worth the paperwork headache.

I am on Hetzner CPX31 in Falkenstein, 12 sites, mostly static. No throttling yet. Their network is excellent from Vienna.
