Hi all, Petra here from GreenCloudVPS. Curious about others experiences with "unlimited" hosting claims. We advertise unlimited sites on our shared tier but obviously there are practical limits. Wondering what numbers people have actually hit before performance degradation. Not naming competitors, just gathering industry-standard data. :)
We have the internet box from Hetzner, my nephew set it up. I think we have 47 sites? Maybe 50? The internet box started getting slow so we called Hetzner and they said we needed the Business Plan. Is that throttling? We also upgraded the RAM but I think that means storage, the nice man said more GB.
Sorry if this is a dumb question. But how do you even host 47 sites? I have 2 on Time4VPS and they said unlimited but my wordpress gets slow if I install too many plugins. Is that the same thing? Thanks everyone!

47 sites on a shared "internet box" sounds like overselling to me
I had the same thing with Hetzner
Which Xeons, 6248R or something older? And what RAID level?

Overselling is the whole business model of shared hosting. I tell my clients in Montreal: if you need more than 5 WordPress sites, go VPS. They never listen until the database locks up.
