For future reference, Mozilla's SSL Configuration Generator has an "Intermediate" profile that balances security with compatibility back to Firefox 27, Chrome 30, IE 11, etc. I use the "Old" profile only when specifically supporting Android 4.0 or Windows XP. For iOS 12, Intermediate works fine.

Hetzner's Helsinki datacenter gave me worse incoming ratios than Falkenstein. Same plan. No idea why, maybe routing asymmetry. I moved the box to Nuremberg, problem halved. Not solved, halved.
